At around 6:45 p.m. on Friday, August 23, Denton County Emergency Services District #1, Denton Fire Department, Northlake Police, and Argyle Police responded to a major accident in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35W near Crawford Road in Argyle, Texas. A total of six vehicles were involved in the collision on the highway. Multiple ambulances were dispatched to the scene for individuals with serious injuries.
Police confirmed that three individuals have died as a result of the crash. The deceased were identified as 69-year-old Odilia Orozco Gonzalez de Alvarez, 65-year-old Elia Orozco of Northlake, and 63-year-old Gladis Orozco Gonzalez De Cifuentes. All three were transported to Medical City Denton, where they were pronounced deceased.
Northbound lanes of Interstate 35W have been reopened after Argyle Police conducted an accident investigation.
