On Friday, September 20th, just after noon, the Little Elm Fire Department responded to a possible drowning at Little Elm Beach, located at 701 W. Eldorado Parkway. Witnesses reported seeing a man swimming between the shoreline and the beach buoys before losing sight of him.
A search effort was launched with assistance from the Lewisville Fire Department’s Dive Team and Texas Game Wardens. After approximately four hours, the body of 20-year-old Ezekiel Isaiah Behnke of Slidell, Louisiana, was recovered from the water.
The incident is currently under investigation.
