Fire Damages Fort Worth Adventist Church

Early Sunday morning, October 13, 2024, just before 4:00 a.m., the Fort Worth Fire Department received multiple calls reporting a fire at the Iglesia Adventista Del Septimo Dia located in the 2700 Block of NW 30th Street on the city’s Northside.

Upon arrival, Engine 15 crews found heavy fire at the rear of the church, extending into the storage area behind the altar. Firefighters also encountered arcing wires from a nearby electrical pole. A swift interior attack contained the fire to the rear of the building, though it had spread into the roof area before being brought under control.

After power to the building was cut, firefighters made a precise cut in the metal siding to locate fire hidden behind the wall near an electrical conduit. While the entire building sustained smoke damage, the sanctuary altar area suffered major fire damage. The church was closed at the time, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
