Stolen $70K GMC Truck Out of Euless Recovered by Addison Officer After Suspicious Discovery

Officer Rivera with recovered stolen truck

On October 4, 2024, Addison Police Officer Rivera located an unoccupied GMC 2500 HD Denali valued at over $70,000 parked near Gloria's Latin Cuisine restaurant at 5100 Belt Line Road. The officer's suspicion was piqued by residue on the windshield that appeared to be from a Texas registration sticker, but the truck had a Tennessee license plate on the rear.

Further investigation revealed that the vehicle identification number (VIN) had been swapped. A check of the correct VIN confirmed that the truck had been stolen from Euless, Texas. The Euless Police Department had reported the vehicle as stolen.

The Town of Addison Police Department commended Officer Rivera for his keen intuition and diligence in recovering the stolen property.
