On Thursday, October 10, 2024, at approximately 1:30 PM, an Irving Police officer conducted a traffic stop for a violation at the 1400 block of N. Loop 12 southbound. The driver, identified as 44-year-old Cory Allen Coker, originally from Irving but now residing in Plano, was found to be in possession of narcotics.
During the stop, it was revealed that Coker also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was subsequently charged with multiple offenses, including Drug Paraphernalia, Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penal Group 1 between 4 and 200 grams, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penal Group 2.
Coker was transferred to the Dallas County Jail on October 11, where he is currently being held on a $72,000 bond.
