On October 12, 2024, an Irving police officer responded to a disturbance call at the Silverton Apartments, located in the 3400 block of W. Country Club Dr. in North Irving. Upon arrival, the officer encountered 46-year-old Marinelly Linares-Rodriguez.
Linares-Rodriguez resisted arrest and, during the struggle, assaulted the officer. She was taken into custody and booked into the Irving Jail at 10:44 p.m. She faces multiple charges, including Assaulting a Peace Officer, a second-degree felony in Texas, and resisting arrest. Authorities also determined she was an illegal alien.
Her bond was set at $1,500. On October 13, Linares-Rodriguez was transferred to the Dallas County Jail.
