Fort Worth Restaurant Fire Forces Evacuation of 85 People, One Firefighter Injured

At approximately 12:15 p.m. on Friday, November 15, the Fort Worth Fire Department responded to reports of a commercial building fire in the 3300 block of Texas Sage Trail. The structure, identified as the new HG Supply Company restaurant in Alliance, was found with flames emanating from the chimney area on the roof.

Employees reported smelling smoke and seeing it emerge from vents inside the building before alarms sounded. All 50 employees and 35 patrons safely evacuated the premises.

Due to the size of the building and difficulty accessing the fire's main source, a second alarm was issued by the incident commander. Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control within 45 minutes.

One firefighter sustained a minor injury and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Investigators with the Fort Worth Fire Department’s Arson Division determined the fire was accidental.
