Irving Water Utilities has successfully completed its three-year project to meet the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) 2021 Revised Lead and Copper Rule, ahead of the October 16, 2024 deadline. The project required the city to identify and map all utility- and customer-owned water service lines.
The good news: Irving Water Utilities reports that there are no lead water service lines in the city. The completed inventory will be available online for public access, ensuring transparency and compliance with federal and state regulations.
As part of its ongoing commitment to safe drinking water, Irving Water Utilities will continue to meet the standards set by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
