On Sunday, March 16, 2025, at approximately 3:43 p.m., Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) responded to a fire at the Cham Star Recycling facility located at 4141 Singleton Blvd.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy fire and thick black smoke coming from the rear of the commercial facility. Crews used hand lines and multiple aerial ladder towers to spray water from above while working to bring the fire under control.
Firefighters requested an excavator to assist in locating and extinguishing remaining hot spots within the debris. According to personnel at the scene, the fire primarily involved pallets holding various paper materials.
No injuries were reported, and there were no workers in the area where the fire began. DFR’s HazMat team responded as a precaution but confirmed no hazardous materials were involved.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
