Fatal Crash in Allen Following Police Pursuit Claims One Life

The Allen Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Tuesday morning, March 18, 2025, on the US 75 service road at the Frontage Road exit.

At approximately 2:35 a.m., an Allen Police officer initiated a traffic stop for speeding. The officer activated the red and blue emergency lights in an attempt to pull over the vehicle. Instead of stopping, the driver accelerated, attempting to evade law enforcement.

The vehicle exited southbound US 75 onto the Frontage Road, but within a minute, the driver lost control and crashed into a wooded area on the west side of the service road. The vehicle came to rest on its passenger side, pinned against a tree.

Officers approached the vehicle but found the driver unresponsive and trapped inside. Allen Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene and confirmed the driver was deceased. A thorough search of the area was conducted by Allen officers and Fire, using thermal imaging to check for additional occupants. No other individuals were located.

The Collin County Medical Examiner pronounced the driver deceased at the scene and took custody of the body. The investigation is ongoing.
