On the morning of Sunday, March 23rd, Irving Police officers responded to a hit on a stolen vehicle within city limits. An officer located the vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver accelerated in an attempt to evade arrest. After a brief pursuit, the vehicle was stopped, and the driver, identified as 60-year-old Reginald Brumfield, was taken into custody.
Brumfield was found to have two active warrants: one from Arlington Police and the other from the U.S. Marshal's Service Laredo for a parole violation. In addition to the warrants, Brumfield faces new charges in Irving for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Theft of Property between $30,000 and $100,000, and Evading Arrest Detention with a Vehicle.
