A 74-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an arson investigation in Irving. On Friday, March 21st, at approximately 1:21 PM, Irving Fire Investigator Frank contacted dispatch to inform them that he had arrested Linton Daniel Hargreaves Jr. on an outstanding arson warrant.
An Irving Police officer responded to the 3800 block of Finley Rd in North Irving to take custody of Hargreaves, who was then transported to the Irving Jail. Hargreaves faces charges of Arson Reckless Damage of Building/Causing Bodily Injury or Death and Burglary of Habitation.
Hargreaves, originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, was later transferred to the Dallas County Jail, where his bond was set at $30,000.
The investigation is ongoing, and the Irving Fire Department continues to work with its team of 16 Texas Certified Fire Inspectors and Fire Investigators.
