Orlando Flores, 23, of South Irving, has been arrested after a violent home invasion and assault in North Irving on Friday, March 28th.
At approximately 12:54 PM, Irving Police officers responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 3700 block of Bob O Link Dr. Upon arrival, they discovered that Flores had forced entry into the residence through the front door.
Flores then used a handgun to threaten two victims, a 23-year-old male homeowner and a 23-year-old female. He also physically assaulted the victims with the weapon. When one of the victims attempted to call 911, Flores confiscated their cell phone.
Officers located Flores and took him into custody. He faces charges of:
- Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
- Burglary of Habitation
- Criminal Mischief
- Interfering with an Emergency Call
Flores also had an outstanding warrant for Domestic Violence/Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
