A head-on collision on Farm to Market Road 51 between Veal Station and Carter roads on Friday evening resulted in the death of a 70-year-old Granbury woman and serious injuries to four others.
According to DPS investigators, the Granbury woman was driving southbound on FM 51 around 6:00 PM when her vehicle crossed the center lane for an undetermined reason and struck a northbound vehicle. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver and three juveniles in the northbound vehicle were transported to local hospitals with what officials described as serious to life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
