DFW Airport Announces New Shopping and Dining Options, Including Airport Firsts and Local Favorites

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) has unveiled plans for a host of new shopping and dining concepts, set to enhance the traveler experience with a mix of local Texas brands and several first-of-their-kind offerings in U.S. airports.

The DFW Airport Board of Directors has approved a total of 20 new concessions as part of a broader expansion that will see dozens more additions in the coming years, coinciding with the airport's gate expansion and the construction of the new Terminal F.

Among the most notable approvals are several airport firsts: a 24-hour Chick-fil-A (operating Monday through Saturday) in Terminal A Pier, DFW’s first 24/7 Raising Cane’s location in Terminal B-19, the first Salad and Go airport location featuring healthy salads, bowls, and sandwiches in Terminal A Pier, and an innovative Whataburger in Terminal B-40 that will incorporate self-order kiosks.

The new concessions will also showcase a strong selection of local Texas flavors and brands, including:

  • Mesero: Dallas-based Mexican American fusion (first in a U.S. airport) (Terminal A Pier)
  • Brewed Coffee: Fort Worth-based pastries, coffee, and tacos (Terminal E-19)
  • Olivella’s Pizzeria: Dallas and Fort Worth-based (Terminal A-14)
  • La La Land Kind Café: Dallas-based (Terminal B-43)
  • Velvet Taco: Dallas-based innovative tacos (Terminal C Pier)
  • Mozart’s Bakehouse: Lake Austin-based scratch-made pastries and shakes (Terminal A Pier)
  • Lone Chimney Mercantile: Local artist-made gifts (Terminal D-33)

“These new partners represent the next chapter in DFW’s journey to transform the customer experience,” said Ken Buchanan, DFW’s Executive Vice President for Revenue Management and Customer Experience. “By bringing in bold concepts, including several airport firsts and beloved local brands, we’re laying the foundation for more dynamic terminals and a more enjoyable travel experience.”

Other brands joining the DFW terminals include The Peach Cobbler Factory, Ciao & Go, Nekter Juice Bar (first in a U.S. airport), Flyer’s Market, Piada Italian Street Food (first in a U.S. airport), Bluebonnet Exchange, and Sundance Travel Essentials. For travelers seeking relaxation or productivity, Minute Suites will add new locations in Terminal A-38 and Terminal D-23.

DFW Airport, recently recognized as having the Best Overall Concessions Program by Airport Experience News, views these new additions as a reflection of its ongoing commitment to creating a more memorable, diverse, and guest-centered experience, supporting its long-term vision for modernization and enhanced amenities as the world’s third-busiest airport.
