Three people were killed in a fiery single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on May 18, 2025, in the 1700 block of northbound U.S. Highway 75.
Plano Patrol Officers and Plano Fire-Rescue responded to the scene at approximately 2:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle crash involving fire and possible entrapment.
According to a preliminary investigation, the vehicle had been traveling north on US-75 when it struck a concrete barrier and caught fire. Witnesses reported that a person was inside the burning vehicle.
After Plano Fire-Rescue extinguished the blaze, it was discovered that three individuals had been inside the vehicle. All three were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The identities of the victims have not yet been confirmed and will be released pending positive identification by the medical examiner’s office.
The Plano Police Department’s Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
