Irving Police officers arrested Fidel Perez-Santiago, 55, early Friday morning in connection with a child abuse case. He was taken into custody at an apartment complex near W. Rochelle Rd. and N. Story Rd.
Perez-Santiago was booked into the Irving Jail at 4:46 AM and charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. Additionally, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has requested an immigration hold for Perez-Santiago, identifying him as an illegal alien in the country.
Due to the sensitive nature of the crime and the ongoing investigation, the Irving Police Department has not released any further details regarding the victim or the specifics of the case.
