On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Tarrant County Sheriff’s Deputies and Fire Rescue responded to a drowning incident at West Bay Marina, located in the 6900 block of Liberty School Tap Road.
Upon arrival, first responders found a three-year-old girl unconscious on the ground after being pulled from Eagle Mountain Lake. Two bystanders had begun CPR in an attempt to revive the child before paramedics arrived on the scene.
The child was transported to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
Tarrant County Criminal Investigators are currently reviewing evidence to determine the circumstances that led to the child’s entry into the water. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause of death.
