WISE COUNTY, TX — A 78-year-old man from Bowie was killed Saturday evening, August 2, 2025, following a motorcycle crash on US-380.
At approximately 6:05 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the westbound lanes near Nicholas Way. According to a preliminary investigation, the driver of a westbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle left the roadway and collided with the center median guard rail.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and was identified as William Fred Hollowell.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
