TARRANT COUNTY, Texas—A body was recovered from Eagle Mountain Lake on Sunday, August 24, following a search for a 50-year-old man who went missing the day before.
The recovery took place at approximately 3:25 p.m. near Crest Point, in the same area where the man was last seen on August 23. His disappearance was reported around 5:00 p.m. when a boater rescued his two children, who were found floating in the water and calling for help. The children had been in a small watercraft with their father, who was not located at the time.
The body has been sent to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office for official identification. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
The Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) Law Enforcement officers led the recovery efforts and were assisted by Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens and the Eagle Mountain Fire Department. The TRWD extended its condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
