LEWISVILLE, TX – On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, a vehicle accident caused significant damage to an electric transformer along Main Street in Lewisville, triggering a second transformer to blow. As a result, power outages are affecting the area stretching to Valley Ridge Boulevard, impacting multiple businesses and city buildings.
Texas-New Mexico Power (TNMP) crews were promptly notified and are on-site working to restore electricity. Officials report that Lewisville 9-1-1 remains fully operational, and residents are asked to contact emergency services only for urgent situations to keep lines clear for emergencies.
TNMP expects to have power restored by the end of the day, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
