IRVING, Texas—A Dallas man is in custody after being arrested on a warrant for indecency with a child and multiple counts of aggravated assault.
On Tuesday, September 2, at approximately 1:43 p.m., Irving Police officers, in collaboration with the Dallas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO), arrested Tavione Carter, 27, of Dallas. The DCSO warrant was for Indecency with a Child Exposes. Carter was also charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
His bond was set at $95,000. He was initially booked into the Irving Jail and later transferred to the Dallas County Jail on September 4, where he remains in custody pending the installation of an electronic leg monitoring device.
When contacted for comment, the Irving Police Department declined to speak on the ongoing investigation, citing that it deals with child abuse.
