Irving Man Arrested After Attacking Cousin With Knife Causing Injury

Isaac Lopez-Briceno

In the early morning hours of December 7, 2025, Irving Police officers responded to a disturbance call at the Stonehill Terrace Apartments in the 3200 block of West Northgate Drive, across from Jackie Mae Townsell Elementary School.

Dispatch information indicated that a male inside the apartment had threatened someone with a knife. When officers arrived around 4:12 a.m., they made contact with the victim, identified as Osman A. Reynoza-Munguia, and a witness, Kessller Jhoan Vega-Mayorga.

According to Reynoza-Munguia, he was inside the apartment with his cousin and roommate, 22-year-old Isaac Salvador Lopez-Briceño, when Lopez-Briceño became angry. Reynoza-Munguia told officers that Lopez-Briceño pulled a knife from his waistband, walked toward him, and swung the knife in his direction. Reynoza-Munguia attempted to defend himself by restraining Lopez-Briceño but suffered multiple lacerations, resulting in bodily injury.

Vega-Mayorga confirmed the account, telling officers he witnessed Lopez-Briceño swing the knife at Reynoza-Munguia.  No information was provided as to what caused Lopez-Briceño to snap and attack his cousin.

Lopez-Briceño was taken into custody and charged with Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a second-degree felony. Police also reported that Lopez-Briceño was charged in connection with his immigration status as an illegal alien, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a hold on him.  He was later transferred to the Dallas County Jail and since then, ICE has taken custody of Lopez-Briceño for deportation proceedings.
