Dallas Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday night in the Redbird area, leaving a 55-year-old man dead.
On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at about 9:10 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 4200 block of Independence Drive near West Camp Wisdom Road. When officers arrived, they found David “Dusty” Brown suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced Brown deceased.
According to investigators, Brown and the suspect were involved in an argument that escalated, resulting in the suspect shooting Brown. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
The investigation remains ongoing and is being documented under case number 183138-2025.
