DALLAS, TX - A Dallas jury has convicted 38-year-old Shatori Traneshia Bell of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after a 2023 incident in which she struck her boyfriend with her vehicle.
Incident Details
On October 9, 2023, Bell and her boyfriend dropped someone off at a probation office. The two got into an argument in the parking lot. After the victim walked away, Bell got into her car, pursued him, and hit him. Bell then called 911, falsely claiming the victim had punched her windshield.
Trial and Verdict
The case was prosecuted by lead attorney Megan Reed, with Emily Kapp as second chair, and Dallas Police Investigator John Ludwigs assisting. The jury found Bell guilty on November 4, 2025.
Sentencing
Bell was sentenced to 3 years in prison, all probated for 3 years. This means she will serve her sentence under supervision rather than behind bars, provided she complies with the terms of her probation.
