IRVING, Texas - The City of Irving announced that scheduled maintenance on the Mustangs sculpture at Williams Square Plaza will begin Monday, Feb. 9, requiring the fountain surrounding the landmark to be temporarily drained.
City officials said the work involves conservation maintenance of The Mustangs of Las Colinas, a high-traffic attraction located at Williams Square Plaza. Once the maintenance is completed, the fountain is expected to be refilled on Friday, Feb. 13, weather permitting.
The city noted that inclement weather could delay the start or completion of the work, potentially affecting the refill schedule.
The sculpture is a major landmark in Las Colinas and draws visitors daily. City officials thanked residents and tourists for their patience during the maintenance period, calling the work critical to preserving the iconic installation.
