Springtown Woman Charged Months After Fatal Azle Crash That Killed Two

AZLE, Texas — A Springtown woman has been arrested in connection with a September 2025 crash in Azle that left two people dead and two others seriously injured.

The collision occurred on September 23, 2025, in the 13000 block of FM 730 South. Azle Police, the Azle Fire Department, the Tarrant County Accident Reconstruction Team, and the Parker County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, and two others were transported with serious injuries.

Following a months-long investigation by Azle Police and the Tarrant County Accident Reconstruction Team, authorities filed multiple charges against 48-year-old Tammy Jo Lawrence of Springtown.

On Friday, February 13, 2026, Lawrence turned herself in after being notified that arrest warrants had been issued. She is charged with two counts of Intoxication Manslaughter, a second-degree felony, and two counts of Intoxication Assault, a third-degree felony.

Lawrence was transported to the Parker County Jail. The case remains pending.
