RICHARDSON, Texas - The Richardson Police Department has arrested 25-year-old Erick Lajuane Foster II and charged him with Aggravated Assault in connection with a shooting that occurred on March 18, 2026.
At approximately 2:00 p.m., officers responded to a reported shooting at the intersection of W. Spring Valley Road and S. Coit Road in Richardson, Texas.
Witnesses reported seeing the suspect, later identified as Foster, running towards another man, identified as 33-year-old Ladarius Devonta Wheeler. Upon catching up with Wheeler, Foster discharged a firearm multiple times, striking him.
Foster fled the scene but later turned himself in to Richardson Police.
Wheeler was transported to a local hospital, where he was initially in critical condition. On Thursday afternoon, he was upgraded to stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
