IRVING, Texas — An Irving police investigation into an armed robbery at an East Irving hotel has resulted in the arrest of a suspect nearly four months after the crime occurred.
31-year-old Juan Villatoro Jr. was booked into the Irving Jail on June 9, 2026, on a charge of Aggravated Robbery, a first-degree felony.
According to an arrest affidavit, the investigation began on Feb. 17, 2026, when officers responded to a 911 call from a victim reporting that his vehicle had been stolen following a robbery at the Days Inn in the 2200 block of E. State Highway 183 (Airport Fwy).
The victim told investigators he had recently met a woman identified as 23-year-old Charnilla Glenn and that the two were spending time together at the hotel.
The victim said he fell asleep in the room and later woke up to find Glenn gone and two unknown men inside instead.
According to police, one of the men demanded to know the location of a watch and displayed a small firearm while confronting the victim.
As the men prepared to leave, Glenn re-entered the room carrying the victim's wallet and cellphone.
Investigators reviewed hotel surveillance footage that showed a white four-door vehicle arriving at the property, with a passenger entering the victim's room after being let inside. A short time later, a black Chevrolet truck arrived and a second man entered the room.
Video footage showed Glenn leaving the room and entering the black truck before returning to the room. Investigators said the two men later exited, entered the truck and drove away before returning moments later to the victim's vehicle.
One of the suspects then exited the truck and drove away in the victim's vehicle while the truck followed.
Using license plate reader technology, investigators tracked both vehicles traveling together after the theft. Police determined the black Chevrolet truck was registered to Villatoro.
After the victim's stolen vehicle was recovered in Dallas, crime scene investigators processed the vehicle and recovered fingerprints from the driver's door that were positively identified as belonging to Villatoro.
Based on the evidence, Irving police obtained an arrest warrant for Villatoro on Feb. 24, 2026.
He was located and arrested on June 9.
Police said Glenn was arrested on unrelated drug charges on June 4. Detectives continue to investigate her potential involvement in the robbery, including whether she intentionally lured the victim to the hotel as part of a plan to steal from him.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges could be filed as detectives continue reviewing evidence.
