IRVING, Texas — A man remains in the Dallas County Jail after police say he threatened employees and customers with a kitchen knife inside a McDonald's restaurant in downtown Irving.
According to the Irving Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, to the McDonald's in the 300 block of West Irving Boulevard for a report of a criminal trespass.
While officers were en route, dispatchers received updated information indicating the suspect had entered the restaurant and was waving a kitchen knife at customers.
The restaurant manager told police she had repeatedly ordered the man to leave the property because he was harassing customers for money. When she confronted him near the front entrance, the suspect allegedly pointed the knife at her and said, "I'm here to kill y'all."
The manager immediately retreated inside and called 911 to report the threats.
Police said the suspect later entered the restroom and emerged with injuries to the side of his head that were not present before he went inside. Investigators believe those injuries were self-inflicted with the knife.
The suspect then walked outside and fell face-first onto the pavement, causing a minor scrape to his forehead.
Responding officers encountered the suspect outside the restaurant and took him into custody without further incident.
The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Isaac Daniel Antwine.
Antwine has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Criminal Trespass with a Deadly Weapon.
His bond was set at $55,000, and he remains in custody at the Dallas County Jail.
