IRVING, Texas - An Irving man is being held in the Dallas County Jail on a $250,000 bond after police say he stabbed another man during a domestic violence incident in the city's Plymouth Park neighborhood.
Officers with the Irving Police Department responded to an emergency 911 call on July 24 at a residence in the 1800 block of Colony Drive.
When officers arrived, they found 51-year-old Ndiaye Sibaghtallhi suffering from multiple stab wounds.
According to police, Sibaghtallhi told responding officers that 31-year-old Pepito Richard Jackson intentionally stabbed him in the upper torso and arm with a knife, causing serious bodily injury.
The victim was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Investigators said a roommate witnessed the assault and told officers she observed Jackson stab the victim.
Police have not disclosed the nature of the relationship between Jackson and Sibaghtallhi.
Jackson was arrested at the scene and booked into the Irving Jail before being transferred to the Dallas County Jail.
He has been charged with Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
His bond was set at $250,000. Although bond has been posted, Jackson remains in the Dallas County Jail on a hold. Authorities have not released the reason for the hold.
The investigation remains ongoing.
