THE COLONY, Texas - A 45-year-old The Colony man was found dead in Lewisville Lake near Stewart Creek Park following a drowning Monday morning.
The Colony Police and Fire departments responded to the area at approximately 11:10 a.m. on August 24, 2026, with assistance from the Lewisville Fire Department's dive team.
Water rescue and dive personnel from Lewisville recovered the man's body from Lewisville Lake near Stewart Creek Park.
The victim was identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office as 45-year-old Samuel Sclafani of The Colony. Online records indicate Sclafani lived in the nearby Stewart's Peninsula community.
The Colony Police Department said investigators found no evidence of foul play in connection with Sclafani's death.
The Medical Examiner's Office will determine the official cause and manner of death.
