Deceased Man Found Burning Inside Southeast Arlington Home

Arlington Fire Department crews were called to a house fire on Bigfork Drive in southeast Arlington Saturday, August 29, around 10:15 a.m. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the body of a man on fire inside the residence. Arlington police were summoned to the scene to begin an investigation, though officials have not yet determined how the man died. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy to establish an official cause and manner of death. The Arlington Fire Marshal's Office is separately investigating what sparked the blaze, while the Arlington Police Department's inquiry into the death remains active and ongoing.
