BURLESON, Texas - An adult bicyclist has died following a crash with a vehicle in Burleson early Tuesday morning, according to local first responders. Burleson police and fire crews were called to the scene near the intersection of NW John Jones Drive and Walter Drive at 5:41 a.m. after reports of a serious wreck involving a bicycle. Once on site, investigators determined that a motor vehicle had struck the cyclist. The injured rider was rushed to a nearby trauma center for treatment but did not survive their injuries. Authorities have not released further identifying details about the victim. Burleson Police temporarily shut down portions of the roadway near the John Jones and Walter intersection while officers worked the scene, but all lanes have since reopened to traffic. The investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains ongoing.
