Cresson, Texas - A motorcyclist died Sunday morning after losing control of his bike on US-377 near Kelly Road in the Cresson area of Parker County, according to authorities. The crash was reported around 9:26 a.m. on Sept. 27, 2026, prompting a response from Cresson Fire, Parker County Hospital District EMS, and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Investigators say the man was riding southbound on Highway 377 when he veered onto the roadway's shoulder for reasons that remain unclear. He lost control of the motorcycle, which then left the road and collided with a guard rail.
The rider, identified only as a 53-year-old man, died as a result of the crash. DPS troopers are continuing to investigate exactly what caused him to drift off the highway in the first place.
