Midlothian, Texas - A juvenile died Saturday night after a motorcycle crash in Ellis County near Midlothian, according to officials. Midlothian Fire Department crews and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers were called to the 3500 block of Mountain View Drive around 8 p.m. on Sept. 26.
Investigators say two motorcyclists were traveling together in the area when one of the riders veered off the roadway and crashed into a drainage culvert. That rider, a minor, died at the scene. Because the victim is a juvenile, authorities are withholding identifying details.
The Texas DPS is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal wreck. No further information has been released as the case remains open.
