Jesse Mojica

FORT WORTH, Texas - A 40-year-old man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after a Tarrant County jury convicted him of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Jesse Mojica was convicted following a case that began with an April 26, 2025, traffic stop involving Grand Prairie police.

Officers arrested Mojica on outstanding warrants during the stop. Police also found several baggies containing methamphetamine and a digital scale in his pockets, according to information released Oct. 1.

During Mojica's trial, prosecutors presented evidence of another encounter with Grand Prairie police several months later.

In November 2025, officers again arrested Mojica on outstanding warrants. During that arrest, police seized approximately 250 grams of methamphetamine from his vehicle, according to evidence presented to the jury.

The jury found Mojica guilty of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and sentenced him to 40 years in prison.

The case was prosecuted by the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office Narcotics Unit.
