In that pending case, he faces two felony charges:
-
Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, between 4 and 200 grams

Those charges remain pending.
Previously Served 10 Years in Prison for Burglary
Ortez also has a previous conviction involving burglary of a habitation.
He was initially sentenced to probation in that case, but a subsequent arrest on a similar charge led to the probation being revoked and a prison sentence being imposed.
He ultimately served 10 years in prison.
Transfer to Dallas County Jail Pending
Following his latest arrest, Ortez was booked into the Irving Jail and is expected to be transferred to the Dallas County Jail to await a court hearing.
