On October 22, 2023, at around 8:30 p.m., Dallas Police were dispatched to a shooting incident in the 9600 block of Skillman Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Jamarkus Holmes, a 25-year-old male, with gunshot wounds. He had been shot in the parking lot of a business situated in the 10000 block of Forest Lane, less than half a mile from where he was found on Skillman Street.
Preliminary findings from the investigation indicate that an argument erupted between the victim and an unidentified male suspect, resulting in the fatal shooting of Holmes.
Jamarkus Holmes succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The Dallas Police Department continues to investigate this incident.
