The Dallas Police Department is actively pursuing leads and evidence related to the 1982 murder of 51-year-old Nancy Clement. On January 30, 1982, tragedy struck when Mrs. Clement was fatally shot during a home invasion robbery that occurred in the 4900 block of Manett Street.
The investigation into this decades-old case has revealed that Mrs. Clement was shot by an unidentified suspect who had forcibly entered their home. The suspect, armed with a firearm, held both Mrs. Clement and her husband at gunpoint while demanding their property. A harrowing struggle ensued between the suspect and Mr. Clement, during which both victims were shot. Mr. Clement managed to survive the attack, while tragically, Mrs. Clement lost her life at the scene.
The Dallas Police Department remains committed to seeking justice for this cold case.
