According to investigators, a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound on West Division Street when the driver veered into the eastbound lanes, colliding with a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. The impact caused materials from the bed of the 2011 Silverado to be ejected, striking a 2012 Toyota Camry. Tragically, the driver of the 2001 Silverado was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the 2011 Silverado, identified as 44-year-old Guerrero Madrid Salgado, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
