Richardson Police are currently investigating an aggravated assault that took place at around 8:50 p.m. on December 4, 2023, in the parking lot of a shopping center located in the 1600 block of N. Plano Rd.
The incident was reported to 911 when a man was found shot. Responding officers discovered the injured victim on the ground, conscious but wounded. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.
According to a witness at the scene, the shooting transpired during a physical altercation between the victim and another male suspect. The alleged assailant had already left the scene by the time officers arrived. Detectives have spoken with the victim and concluded that this appears to be an isolated incident. The investigation is ongoing.
